Prepare feature still waiting

I'm trying to use the "Prepare Videos for Animotica" feature for a project. I selected a group of clips to convert, but it's working so slowly that I'm not sure it's working, at all. It just says "Waiting..." next to all the files, and won't do anything else, no matter how long I wait for it. I've tried converting only one file at a time, and I get the same thing. Is there a glitch that needs to be fixed, or do I need to find some other editing program?
