I had this problem. Things I did that fixed it:
- Made sure I was logged into the Microsoft App Store (I was not)
- Made sure the App Permissions allowed File System access (this was off)
Hi, the only real solution that seems to work is to create a new windows user, download the software again and then start it. At least this worked for me and multiple other users.
The app won't start no matter what. I've had Animotica pro ever since 2021. After I click the icon, it will initially start launching, and then turn itself off. Nothing helps, nor reinstalling the app, neither reseting it.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have used Animotica for about three PCs, now. what you need to do to resolve this problem is the following: go to Start>Control Panel>App settings>Animotica, and find the "Reset" button. Click that, and you will have to wait 10-15 minutes for the App to reset. I then would advise you reboot your PC. If you have a paid pro license, remember to open Google Store so it will re-instate full functionality. BE AWARE, this problem often recurs. Cheers, and have a great day!

I have a MSI laptop, windows 10.
My Animotica suddenly refuses to start. The initial startup screen comes up but then goes away. There has been no major changes on the computer and I attem0pted a hard terminate program from Windows 10. I also had Windows settings reset the program to no avail. What gives? Lets fix this.
I have a pro subscription with Animotica. Recently, Animotica stopped loading up for no apparent reason. When I try to load Animotica, I see the loading screen for a few seconds, and then the loading screen disappears and nothing happens.
When I go to Window > Event Viewer > Window Logs > Application, I can see the following error logs:
On one of my Windows 10 computer, I created another User account on the computer under the Windows "Manage Users". Now when I sign in with the NEW USER that i created, I can download Animotica and start using it. But if login as the PREVIOUS user on this same computer, then Animotica will crash when I try to start it up, and the Event Viewer just gives me that Votica.exe issue in my earlier comments.
I have another NEW COMPUTER that is Dell Optiplex 790. However, the solution above does not work on my NEW COMPUTER no matter what I try. It just gives that Votica Error in the Event Viewer show in my earlier comments. I haven't downloaded anyother software on this New Computer yet...this is frustrating.
But at least I have one account on one computer that I can temporarily use Animotica with.
I mentioned earlier I had the same issue with Votica.exe crashing. I tried all these thigns without any success:
- /sfc scannow - dos just says everything is fine
- dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth - successfully completed this command
- regsvr32 /i KernelBase.dll - this command failed, just said "The module "kernelbase.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found.
- found another version of KernelBase.dll from another computer that has the exact same Window edition, version and build number and copied over to my computer. But this crashed my computer and I had to revert back to an earlier image of my computer
- I BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER WITH A NEW INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS ON IT
I did quite a few variations of these along with different variations of uninstall/install of Animotica and changing Animotica settings in the App Settings.
The program Votica.exe version 1.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

All ya have to do is just reset the App in the App setting on your Computer. It will mention that App data will be deleted. It work for me right now. It was stuck on welcome screen. Yw
This has been going on for months. I first contacted them in July 2021 and they eventually admitted that there was a problem that they were looking into. Been using other software since, but tried Animotica again today (as I have paid for Pro) - still got the same problem. I've now reported it to Microsoft - see if that helps.

Still no solution? It's been four months since I last checked this forum... This is way overdue, I can't believe there has been little to no acknowledgement. I saw someone say three months ago that they're working on it for the next update, but it's really starting to seem like the day it'll be fixed will never come.
I have used this for about a year, and as of a few days ago the app no longer will open. the splash screen appears for a couple of seconds then closes. this is the case on my PC, but not on my laptop, as it will open and work just fine there. both my laptop and PC are both running windows 11, so it is difficult for me to find out what the issue is because I have done all of the recommended fixes from animotica's help page.
It starts up, says it's loading project, & then shuts itself down. There seems to be now way to stop automatically loading a project. I paid for the version on Microsoft Store ... please help!
I purchased Animotica Pro. I used it about a week ago. I need to open it & edit & re-save my video. When I try to open the app, all I get is an opening screen. The app doesn't open.

What does "held for moderation" mean? I'm trying to trim a video but since it tries to autoload a project (which project I don't know) and then terminates itself, I don't know what to do. Please help!
For a few months now, every time I go to open animotica it just shows the logo for a bit as if it's going to start up, and then immediately crashes. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it on my pc and this still happens.
App crashes when I attempt to use the snapshot section and use the snapshot for next clip it processes that but when I move the clip into place it crashes every time and doesn't save it. I use this app daily for you tube so this is very upsetting. also have the paid version too......
Another user whose app suddenly stopped launching. Goes to splash screen, waits about a second, then closes without warning. Still works on my desktop PC, but my HP Spectre x360 will no longer run it.
Been using Animotica for a good while, but today it began crashing while trying to launch. Yesterday it worked just fine. I haven't been able to log in to Animotica because whenever I open it, It stays on the home screen and doesn't load. Either fix this or refund me for the Full Pro that I bought.
I also cannot get this app to function. I followed the instructions to update my computer, uninstall and reinstall the app itself...I purchased the full version and can only say this is very upsetting.
Animotica will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, restarted the computer between uninstalls and reinstalls as well. Seems like an actual issue with the program with so many people posting about it. In addition to just clicking on the program to open it I've also tried the right click on various file types to attempt to open it. The logo comes up for a few seconds, and then vanishes. Occasionally it's still running in the task manager, but usually it's not.
Animtocia will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, cleared the cache and scrubbed my computer of any details of Animtocia so the install would be fresh. It still will not open.
Animotica does not load (same problem as reported here, start screen then closes) on my new PC running Win 10 Home, v20H2 os.build 19042.1110 which I purchased specifically for video editing (go figure!).

Just recently, Animotica has been sluggish and eventually began freezing on me. I have updated to current version 1.1.106.0 via Microsoft Store & still having the same issue. I am noticing numerous "Runtime Broker" in Task Manager's "Processess", popping up whenever Animotica begins to crash. I have resorted to using Task Manager to completely close out the program.
I cannot open Animotica. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't open. It used to crash intermittently but now it looks like it's going to open and then shuts down.

Furthermore, we suggest going to the setting of Animotica on your device and checking if all permissions are turned on. Also, please check where the folder with your projects is located. The projects are supposed to be found in the following folder on your computer - C: Users {PC Name] Documents Animotica Projects (You would have to insert the actual PC name instead of the {PC Name} string).
Also, we suggest going to the Animotica settings on your device and resetting the application settings.
If resetting does not help, follow the next instructions:
1) Uninstall the application;
2) Go to the next folder on your device: C: Users/{USER}/AppData/Local/Packages/24711Mixilab.Animotica_c39s816dkej80Settings (You would have to insert the actual PC name instead of the {USER} string). Please delete all of the files in this folder;
3) Reboot your device;
4) Install Animotica back.

I saw someone say three months ago that they're working on it for the next update, but it's really starting to seem like the day it'll be fixed will never come.

I have used this for about a year, and as of a few days ago the app no longer will open. the splash screen appears for a couple of seconds then closes. this is the case on my PC, but not on my laptop, as it will open and work just fine there. both my laptop and PC are both running windows 11, so it is difficult for me to find out what the issue is because I have done all of the recommended fixes from animotica's help page.

For a few months now, every time I go to open animotica it just shows the logo for a bit as if it's going to start up, and then immediately crashes. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it on my pc and this still happens.

App crashes when I attempt to use the snapshot section and use the snapshot for next clip it processes that but when I move the clip into place it crashes every time and doesn't save it. I use this app daily for you tube so this is very upsetting. also have the paid version too......

Been using Animotica for a good while, but today it began crashing while trying to launch. Yesterday it worked just fine. I've tried all methods suggested on the forum but none have been successful in fixing the issue. I've paid for the pro version and enjoyed using it, so it'd be great if you could solve this issue soon.

Animotica will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, restarted the computer between uninstalls and reinstalls as well. Seems like an actual issue with the program with so many people posting about it. In addition to just clicking on the program to open it I've also tried the right click on various file types to attempt to open it. The logo comes up for a few seconds, and then vanishes. Occasionally it's still running in the task manager, but usually it's not.

Animtocia will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, cleared the cache and scrubbed my computer of any details of Animtocia so the install would be fresh. It still will not open.

Just recently, Animotica has been sluggish and eventually began freezing on me. I have updated to current version 1.1.106.0 via Microsoft Store & still having the same issue. I am noticing numerous "Runtime Broker" in Task Manager's "Processess", popping up whenever Animotica begins to crash. I have resorted to using Task Manager to completely close out the program.

Thank you for contacting Animotica Support Center! We are truly sorry for such a delayed answer. Please ensure you are running the latest versions of Animotica (ver.1.1.106.0).
Furthermore, we suggest going to the setting of Animotica on your device and checking if all permissions are turned on. Also, please check where the folder with your projects is located. The projects are supposed to be found in the following folder on your computer - C: Users {PC Name] Documents Animotica Projects (You would have to insert the actual PC name instead of the {PC Name} string).
Also, we suggest going to the Animotica settings on your device and resetting the application settings.
If resetting does not help, follow the next instructions:
1) Uninstall the application;
2) Go to the next folder on your device: C: Users/{USER}/AppData/Local/Packages/24711Mixilab.Animotica_c39s816dkej80Settings (You would have to insert the actual PC name instead of the {USER} string). Please delete all of the files in this folder;
3) Reboot your device;
4) Install Animotica back.
